Service & Warranty Policy Acknowledgment
Before any service begins, customers are asked to review and acknowledge our shop policies, warranty terms, and service conditions. This ensures clear communication, proper expectations, and protection for both the customer and Ackley MotoWorks.
1. Manufacturer Warranty (New Bikes)
- All new bikes are covered under the manufacturer’s warranty. Warranty terms, coverage, and duration vary by brand and are determined by the manufacturer. Ackley MotoWorks assists with warranty claims but does not control manufacturer decisions or approvals.
2. Used Bike Warranty
- All used bikes sold by Ackley MotoWorks include a 3-month labor warranty covering mechanical or electrical failures under normal use. This warranty covers labor only for failed components—not wear items, misuse, racing damage, water damage, accidents, or performance modifications. Parts are not included unless otherwise specified in writing.
3. Performance Modifications
- Aftermarket upgrades, tuning, or modifications may void manufacturer warranties. Ackley MotoWorks is not responsible for issues caused by third-party parts or unauthorized modifications.
4. Proof of Purchase
A valid receipt or invoice is required for all warranty claims and service verification. If someone other than the original purchaser drops off a bike, proof of ownership must be provided.
5. Diagnostic & Service Fees
We offer free diagnostic evaluations to accurately identify issues before repairs begin, unless otherwise specified. If repairs are approved, we’ll provide clear recommendations and pricing before any work is performed.
6. Abandoned Property
Bikes left unclaimed for 30 days after service completion may be subject to storage fees or considered abandoned property.
7. Payment Terms
- Payment is due upon service completion unless otherwise agreed in writing. Card processing fees may apply to card transactions.
8. Limitation of Liability
Customers are responsible for operating their bikes safely and in accordance with local laws. Ackley Motor Works is not liable for misuse, improper operation, or modifications made after service is completed.
